MAY RETREAT 2006

May retreat wasent all that great this year......everything is different this year....roooming problems....where worship and messages were located.....how the praise rally was optional, which really dosent make sense....Let's all look at the bright side...The speaker is a speaker that i've been waiting for since Joesph left...this guy was NICE and a very good speaker....I also met some new people...Praise rally was not the best, but it was still cool to see the people who actually showed up....worship isnt all about how many people there are or how well you sing and play...its a time for you and god to connect ....this is somethings that i learn from my worship friends.............And now for my testimony....

I dont think that many people heard my testimony during retreat..i also left some stuff out...so im gonna write it for all you guys because i want all of you people to know who i really am and about how i got to see Christ..............

Testimony...

Hey..my name is Brandon...I'm a freshman in high school...I think that this year was the year that i reallly saw God.....None of this would have happned if this one little thing didnt happened to me about 4 years ago...My family and I were driving to the Howard County Fair...there was a traffic jam and so we started to slow down...i was in the back of the car sleeping ....the car behind us was a 16 wheeler...he decided to fall alseep and his car hit  my car................................................................................ i wake up and look behind me and realize that a truck just destroyed the back of out van...after that day i took a car accident as a litttle factor...i had a horrible attitude and was like " o nobody is hurt let's go home and get a new car and get this over with"................After the Winter Retreat my grandmother told me that i was very lucky to have survived a 16 wheeler hitting me...From that day i thought of the accident as a good thing in a way.......when i was alseep in the van i was a lost person... a person that god dosent want and a person full of sin that walks away from god.....i felt that God was the 16 wheeler...even though the 16 wheeler could have killed me...when the truck hit me it was like god telling me to wake up and become a new person....be a follower of of God...you're not ready to die yet...you  have a bright future ahead of you......I always have the question Do i deserve to live?  I have broken gods heart over and over again... During small group time we read about the parable of the lost son...i was that kid who went away and spent all the money and party all the time...even with all the sins....his father still took him back....i realized that God will always take you back............. I've been doing more spiritual activities.....

Worship- I  would have never dreamed of singing in front of the church...i didnt know that it would impact my life so much...i have found a differnt way to worship god and to connect with him...
Camp Hope- I have found another way you get closer to God and to seek him....It was though kids younger than me and kids that were not as fortunate as me....

I encourage all of you out there who have been walking away from God to reconnet with him...haha its pretty odvious that if i can do you can

SPRING BREAK 06

                 This Spring Break has been a break the i will never forget in my life.....It all starts with a sleepover at joshie's house....went to the mall...bought some stuff from Ryan..haha..pretty cool...then watched some detective movie at his house....not that bad....then church the next day.

The rest of Spring Break is something that i am willing to share with all you guys.........

CAMP HOPE 06

This year i have decided to do Camp Hope... I would have never thought that this camp would make a huge impact on me and the kids....This camp has taught me to be patient with the kids even if they dont listen and make fun of you...I think god has taught us that there are alot of ways to grow spiritually...this camp was through kids younger than me....im thankful for Angelo, Jeremy, and a BUNCH of other people that motivated me into taking the step to do Camp Hope.....On the last day of camp hope... i felt something hit me...me and my awsome kid Dominique, just took the one on one time seriously and we bonded like we were brothers...it was hard for me to just leave him.......Mary Jane told us that in DC anything can happen......I hope to see him next year...I think that this camp is a life changing experience......Im DEF going to do this camp next year...hope you guys are also willing to give up your spring break to watch over and teach the less fortunate kids.......

Ahh lets see dont really know where to begin...but i thought that this retreat was like the best throughout the 4 years i have been in CBC! Thanks to all my friends and esp. Eddie and Becca for orginizing it. GREAT JOB! I thought that the restreat itself got me closer to god and more serious about things. I think the speaker was like CRAZY in the beginning telling about the creation story..HAHA. But i have to admit... he can be really interseting when hes serious. I mean i really like how he speaks and i can actually undersyand him. Thank you very much J.P. Hong..i really serious...I didnt have as much fun as usual but i think that this retreat was more like a connecting with god kinda thing......Yea...Free Time...prayer walk.....prayer room....and testimoy time.. i thought it was pretty cool...dont get why all you people say its boring...i actually liked it...got to know people better and i even had a testimony of my own....haha...pretty cool...
